2a. Account Information
Account creation and authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign in or create an account, Clerk collects and manages your identity information (such as email address and name) on our behalf. We receive a user identifier and basic profile data from Clerk to associate your account with your research data in our system.
2b. Research Data
We store the research content you create within the Service, including study names and configurations, research queries and retrieved results, extracted claims and synthesis outputs, and AI-generated content produced during your research sessions. This data is stored in our database and is associated with your account.
2c. Usage Data
We may collect technical usage data including session activity, feature interactions, API request logs, and error logs. This data is used to monitor Service health, debug issues, and improve functionality.
2d. Technical Data
Standard technical data may be collected by our infrastructure providers including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and request timestamps.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate and manage your account
- Store and retrieve your research sessions and outputs
- Process AI-powered research workflows on your behalf
- Monitor Service performance and fix technical issues

We do not use your research data to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
To provide the Service, we rely on the following third-party providers who may process your data:

5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and research data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request your research data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing activities
